  • A delicious breakfast on Cañita dock – sandwiches, coffee, juice and fresh fruit.
  • Boat trip to Samana Peninsula. Transportation by bus to an authentic ranch.
  • Horseback riding to the famous El Limon waterfall (Waterfall of Millionaires). You will see mango, papaya, avocado and other tropical fruit forests. Swimming and much fun.

  • Return to the hotel at approximately 8:00 p.m. It is a marine excursion, and we recommend using waterproof cases for your devices. The company is not responsible for damages that may be caused to your devices by marine water during the excursion.

What to take

A camera in a bag
Socks for the boots – on the ranch, you will get the boots comfortable for horseback riding, and it is better to wear the boots with the socks:)

Good mood! Don’t worry – on the day before the excursion, our agent will remind you of this list:)

Excursion to Samaná in the Dominican Republic: Los Haitises, El Limón Waterfall and Bacardi Island Thank you so much for the superb service! Especially to Mike – the guide who made this excursion unforgettable! We went to Saona 3 in 1 on December 8, 2018. Just amazing! It was our fifth time in the Dominican Republic and now we will buy excursions only from your company... more

We stayed in Punta Cana in August of 2018 and bought some excursions by Republica.Pro – and we never regretted it! We bought Samaná 3 in 1 and 27 waterfalls + Dudu. All these excursions were organized better than expected! Everything on time, with much fun, good food and drinks ;-) A guide accompanies you everywhere, so you feel super secure! We also liked “Ola” gift shop with its attentive and helpful sales people... more

The time of departure is stated in your ticket – it is the time of departure of the bus from the reception. You should come to the reception a bit earlier. If the tourists are coming late, the bus will be waiting for no more than 5 minutes after the time stated in the ticket.
As a rule, seawater is calm in the bay, where waves are a rare thing. On this excursion, a catamaran does not go to the open ocean, so there is nothing to worry about. However, if you have doubts, take some pills against seasickness.
Indeed, Samaná is characterized by unpredictable weather. So, take a raincoat with you just in case.
The self-service buffet ranch includes local dishes and soft drinks.
The island is quite small. A part of its territory is occupied by one of the best hotels of Samaná, while the rest of the territory is open for tourists. There, you will see gift-shops, a couple of bars and a beach.
You can try delicious tropical cocktails on the island, such as Piña Colada, Cuba Libre, Mojito and others. The price starts from US$5.
Yes, you can use deckchairs on the beach.
The island is located very close to the main Samaná dock, and they way to the island will take only 10-15 minutes.
Unfortunately, the way to El Limón waterfall is quite long and it would take you at least one hour and a half to reach it on foot, walking along a rough and bumpy road.
No, you do not need any special outfit, but the clothes and the shoes should be comfortable. The only must-have is socks to put on under the boots. You will get the boots on the ranch.
We do not recommend doing this, since first, the stirrups will quickly blister your feet, and second, your shoes will get so dirty that it will be hardly possible to wash off the dirt. You risk completely damaging your shoes.
As a rule, the situation depends on the weather – after rain and in general, with high humidity level, there are more insects, of course. So, take the repellent if it is possible.
Yes, there are changing cabins near the waterfall, but there are only two of them. So, it is better to change clothes on the ranch.
It is better to take care when entering the water not to hurt your feet with stones. We do not recommend staying under strong water streams nor jumping into the water from high ledges, as the locals and ranchers usually do. If you take precautions, bathing in El Limón waterfall is incomparable pleasure!
It is not obligatory, it is up to you, but please, mind that such tips are the only source of income for these guys.
Whale-watching excursion is organized only from January to March. It is possible to do whale watching in Samaná during a special excursion – book it now!
Near the port of Samaná, there is a beautiful pier with a picturesque view over the bay and a “bridge to nowhere”. Near the pier, there are all the restaurants where you can try local and European dishes and enjoy an ocean view.
The excursion starts from the region of Punta Cana, but there is also a similar program from Samaná.
